The Volvo 683901 cluster is an essential component of the dashboard in Volvo vehicles manufactured between April 1969 and May 1975. This cluster, specifically designed for the Volvo 140 and 144 series, is responsible for displaying crucial information to the driver regarding speed, engine revolutions per minute (RPM), fuel level, and coolant temperature.
The Speedometer is the most prominent feature of this cluster, with a black dial and white numbers and markings. The speedometer scale ranges from 0 to 200 kilometers per hour, with increments of 10 kilometers per hour. The needle moves smoothly and accurately to indicate the vehicle's current speed.
Adjacent to the speedometer is the Rev counter, with a red sweep second hand and a black dial. The Rev counter scale ranges from 0 to 6,500 RPM, allowing the driver to monitor engine performance and ensure optimal operation.
The fuel gauge is located at the bottom left of the cluster, with a red pointer indicating the current fuel level. The gauge is calibrated to read accurately from full to empty.
The coolant temperature gauge is situated at the bottom right of the cluster, with a red pointer indicating the normal operating temperature range and a red warning zone. The temperature scale ranges from 0 degrees Celsius to 110 degrees Celsius.
The Volvo 683901 cluster is constructed from high-quality materials, including a durable plastic housing and glass lenses. The cluster's design is minimalist, with clear markings and a functional layout, ensuring easy reading of essential information while driving.
This cluster is a genuine Volvo part, ensuring a perfect fit and reliable performance. Installing this cluster in your Volvo 140 or 144 series vehicle will not only enhance the interior's appearance but also provide crucial information to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Instrument cluster complete for Volvo 140 1968-1970. Bushing where cable enters moves freely. Wiring harness changed in 1971 so this instrument cluster may fit, but electrical plugs not work for 1971-1975. I have not been able to test voltage regulator mounted on the back nor light bulbs but all sockets are there.
This is part number 683901 for 1969 1970 but will work 1968 where cluster #677405 was used. Even speedometer marker/pointer is there. Clean, clean, clean. Very complete and NOT beat up.
This unit has been in my dry garage for 15 years.
